All the latest news has to do with Google hiring people to work at home, and people getting scammed by companies pretending to be Google. This article came about because there are so many questions floating around. Hopefully we can answer some of the most basic of those questions. This article is for informational purposes only.
1. Google really hiring?
Yes and No. Google of course hires people like any other company. When they have an opening they recruit the best of the best from the industry.
2. Are they hiring people from home?
Based on the information on Google’s website, they usually hire employees to work in one of their locations (in an actual building).

3. Why are people teaching “Make Money with Google” Strategies?
Obviously, this article can’t speak for everyone that is selling a Google product. However, on the most basic level, people are using Google Adsense and other marketing techniques that use the Google search engine to drive traffic and get paid commissions when people click on an add with their keyword. CPC or cost per click advertising usually pays a percentage, usually anywhere from 10-25%, when someone clicks on your link.

4. Why Google and not someone else-like MSN or Yahoo?
Time and again we have heard that if it doesn’t work in Google then it probably won’t work anywhere else. Google Adsense is a proven method for finding profitable targeted key words.

5. How do I find the right product to make money online with Google?
There are a lot of great products out there, and there are a lot of scams. Most products have a trial period. Just make sure you read the fine print and know what you are getting.
There is a lot of money to be made online, but remember, you will most likely NOT be working FOR Google, but you may be getting paid by them if you are using their Adsense or some of their other tools and CPC strategies to get commissions from clicks.

Job fairs have always been a great place to find employment. After all, having all of those companies in one location makes it easy to find a great career. It definitely beats going from place to place to find out if they are hiring. With the growing number of companies that are hiring for Virtual Jobs, it makes sense to have a Work from Home Job Fair right?

It’s a perfect way to match up those who want to work at home with great companies that are looking for employees. If you already work from home, it can be a great way to network with other entrepreneurs and companies that you may be able to do business with.

At a recent work at home job fair in High Point, North Carolina, the focus was on both work at home employees as well as those that are looking to start a home based business. Guest speakers included a local CPA and a local marketing expert.

Attendees were able to get “how to” advice on a variety of different subjects ranging from tax advice for employees, independent contractors, and home based businesses, as well as marketing your business on a tight budget.

These work at home job fairs are popping up all over the country especially in places where the recession has his hard, and unemployment numbers are high. You can expect to find companies hiring for virtual customer service reps, work from home sales jobs, virtual assistants, technical support, virtual legal assistants, travel reservation agents, affiliate and online marketing, training companies and much more.

The future of customer service is working from home
A Colorado company is looking for moms to work from home answering customer service calls. Actually, both moms and dads are the target employees. Why? Because parents are more likely to be calm, cool, and collected. The company is looking to hire up to 600 people over the next several months to telecommute from home.
“It’s hard to ruffle the feathers of a mom with five kids at home, that’s what we are looking for” said Alpine Access Executive Director, David Russel.1
Many companies have outsourced their customer service to other countries in the past. Now companies like Alpine Access are starting to hire people to work from home here in the United States instead. Telecommuting jobs cost the company less and the prices are now rivaling those that are outsourced overseas. So they can have Americans working from home for close to the same price.
Alpine Access was featured because they were also able to offer benefits including a matching 401k, something that not all virtual call centers do. They also hire people on as an employee and not an independent contractor.
They are looking to hire several people in Wyoming right now because the state is using some of the stimulus money received to reimburse the company for hiring and training employees that are residents of Wyoming.

Don’t have high speed internet access? Hit up your local coffee shop. Working from home just got even cheaper!
It used to be that the only free internet access was at the local library. With the growing trend of the virtual office, cell phones and laptops are not only welcome but many coffee shops and restaurants now provide high speed internet access for free.
I was meeting a friend at a local Italian fast food restaurant for lunch. As I was walking in I noticed the sign on the door “Wi-Fi Hotspot” the restaurant had a beautiful outdoor patio with bistro tables. It was nice and quiet on the patio and after pulling out my laptop I noticed I had great wireless internet signal.
While I waited for my friend I did some online banking and checked my email. People came and went and no one seemed to notice that I didn’t have any food or drink-I was just doing my business. I could have stayed for hours and no one would have cared.
I have seen this in coffee shops all over the place: The people sitting at the table next to you sound like they are having a business meeting, the guy next to them is pounding away on his laptop, oblivious to anything around him. People all over the place are conducting business without being in an office.
Even hotel lobbies often have free internet access. On a recent business trip to Las Vegas, I waited in the lobby of a hotel for a business associate. I wasn’t staying there, but I was able to use the Wi-Fi to make a couple of tweaks to a website while I waited.
Although many smaller coffee shops have started putting the kibosh on laptop loiterers, many of the larger chains seem to welcome the virtual offices. Starbucks has free Wi-Fi in most of their locations and there are several internet cafes that boast free Wi-Fi with the purchase of a cup of Joe.
For those of us that work at home, sometimes it’s just nice to have a change of scenery. The great part about working online is-If you are fortunate enough to have a lap top with wireless access-you can work anywhere that has internet access.
In this recession-everyone can use just a little more FREE!
